Assessing the Impact of Community Extension Initiatives: Insights and Outcomes

This research aims to evaluate the impact of the community extension projects implemented by a government HEI in an identified barangay, its extension partner. Employing a descriptive-evaluative methodology, the study utilized purposive sampling to select 49 participants. Statistical analysis involved the use of frequency and percentages. The findings revealed that the extension projects conducted have significantly contributed to the partner community, particularly in terms of enhancing the knowledge and skills of the residents. The participants expressed that they have acquired and developed considerable skills through their involvement in the extension projects. Furthermore, the study identified the necessity to enhance and improve these projects to ensure sustainable empowerment of the community. Most participants stressed the importance of exploring collaborative strategies and developing a strategic framework for institutional linkages, with a specific focus on impactful poverty alleviation programs for the socio-economic development of the partner communities.
