COPYRIGHT INFORMATION

Authors contributing to the Asia Pacific Journal of Social, Behavioral and Sciences (APJSBS) maintain authorship rights to their work, while copyright is held by the Journal. By submitting a manuscript to APJSBS, authors agree to grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish their article under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows other potential readers and the scientific community to reproduce, transmit, display, perform, and create derivative works from the original, provided that proper credit is given to the author or licensor in accordance with these terms.

The use of copyrighted works for purposes such as commentary, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, research, and similar activities may be considered lawful. Decompilation, which in this context refers to as replicating the source code and translating the program's visual interface to enable interoperability with other programs, may also be considered fair use.

Fair use of a copyrighted work is determined based on the following factors:

  1. purpose and nature of use, including whether it is for profit or non-profit educational reasons and whether it is commercial in nature;
  2. nature of the copyrighted work;
  3. amount and substantiality of the part used in comparison to the entire copyrighted work
  4. effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.

The reproduction of a published work in a single copy by an individual exclusively for personal research and study is permissible without the copyright owner’s consent. However, this does not extend to the reproduction of an entire book, a substantial portion of it, a musical work with graphics, or compilations of data and other materials.

This Copyright Information is subject to periodic review and revision to stay aligned with current Intellectual Property Rights standards and guidelines. Any changes to this policy will be communicated to authors, reviewers, and the broader scientific community.
